Industrial Power and Control
Belcom stock a wide range of cables for Industrial Power & Control applications including Harmonised PVC, Low Smoke Zero Halogen and Rubber .Multicore control cables for permanent /semi-permanent , trailing or chain applications according to VDE norm or International Standards such as UL&CSA . North American power & instrumentation cables and also single core panel wiring in PVC LSZH and silicone.
These cables can be used on connections of fixed or mobile equipment in domestic or industrial applications depending on the insulating and sheathing materials . PVC cables are used for wiring domestic equipment , LSZH materials are used in fixed installations in public buildings, indoor only .Rubber cables are used for trailing , temporary power supply , industrial workshops indoor or outdoor in dry , wet or oily environments as well as submersible pumps.

High performance low and medium voltage cables with class 5 or 6 conductor , mainly used in medium voltage motors and generators. They are also used for transformers , solar power inverters and other MV and LV cabinets.
In inverter driven motors, excessive surges and voltage peaks during speed variation creates corona discharge in the stator windings which induce thermal stress on the insulation, causing excessive thermal ageing thereby weakening the insulation leading to premature failure of motors. SICT cables are corona resistant so are a very good choice for this application. The silicone material used in their construction have excellent chemical resistance and can tolerate high temperatures , they are halogen free and perform very well during a fire.

Multicore control cables are available as screened or unscreened for flexible installation, cable chain and robotic applications or steel braided as a mechanically protected control cable. For fixed installation in public buildings Low Smoke Zero Halogen versions are available also.

Portable cordage are very durable cables that are used in a wide range of applications. One of the most noticeable advantages is their water-resistant and oil-resistant features. These qualities make the construction very robust, reliable, improve their shelf life and allow them to be used in challenging locations.
Some of their applications are:
- Equipment exposed to oil or chemicals
- Severe flexing applications
- Applications in harsh environmental conditions
- Portable lights
- Battery chargers
- Production lines
- Extra tough use in process industries
- Portable stage lights
- Heavy types of equipment

Flexible Class 5 stranded single core cables for wiring instrument panels, electrical conduit and internal wiring of electrical cabinets and equipment.
This range is available in three types :
•1050C High temperature flame retardant PVC according to three standards (Tri-Rated ) BS , UL and CSA 600/1000v (plain copper)
•1050C High temperature Low Smoke Zero Halogen (FF105) 600/1000v (tinned copper)
•900C High temperature Low Smoke Zero Halogen (FF90) according to BS EN 50525-3-41 (formerly BS7211) , <HAR> and Basec 450/750v (plain copper)

Silicone rubber cables are extremely effective for use in high or low temperature applications, they have excellent resistance to chemicals and oils, they are halogen free for domestic appliances, lighting fittings, refrigeration, pharmaceutical, steel works, foundries and medical applications.

Drinking Water Safe Submersible Pump Cables intended for powering submersible pump motors, in particular for use in drinking water for human consumption. Particular sections are also available for feeding the pump sensors and floats. The sheath and insulation materials used for the construction of these special cables are tested and approved by the most rigorous independent international laboratories which certify the essential requirements: no growth of microorganisms on the surface of the cable and no release of toxic substances, as well as none alteration of odour, colour or taste that can modify the organoleptic characteristics of the water with which the cable comes into contact. They can be used approximately up to depths of 600m, in drinking water, swimming pools (in presence of chlorine) and in some cases in marine waters

For the transmission of digital and analog signals in harsh environments like oil, gas and petrochemical industries. The cables are suitable for fixed installation in dry and damp locations, open spaces and in underground networks. Low level of line attenuations and low mutual capacitances enable long transmission distances
